April is here
And we have a daffodil that is almost open. The rest are still mostly just leaves, but they're working on it!
For those following along from last episode, the abandoned coffee drive-thru place (that used to be a bank) is being refurbished! And it won't be directly competing with the drive-thru place going in across the street, because it's going to be (you guessed it if you live around here): a weed store. We have SO MANY weed stores. They're the new drugstore, I guess, (haha) since so many of those have now shuttered. I'm not a weed person but that's because I don't like it. I do however have community-well-being concerns about the bubble bursting and having so many empty storefronts. We have a dozen weed shops already just on this end of town (and we don't have that large a population - it's a small town!). We shall see.
If you're in the area, stop by For Art's Sake and check out my display, along with all the other stuff by local artists. Their new hours are Thursday-Sunday, so plan accordingly.
So, what are we watching now that Severance is on a break until season three? The Residence was fun (I love a sleuth and Uzo Aduba's Cordelia Cupp is top-notch! Clever, unapologetically herself, slightly weird, fashionable, etc.) and I'm determined to see White Lotus through to the end of this not-easy-to-watch season (every season I ask myself why I am watching these horrible people be terrible to everyone around them AND YET). Speaking of which, I'm looking forward to the return of The Gilded Age (though there are at least a couple of decent human beings amongst the characters there). But I'm curious - what else are you watching?
And it's a new month, which means a new patreon perk is available:

As ever, I encourage you to call your electeds and fight for the services that make such a difference in our communities: libraries, unions, safety nets, etc. Until next time, I hope you remain as okay as possible!
