2026, wow
It's officially a new year! Several people I love will be celebrating milestone birthdays this year, but other than that, I hope it's relatively uneventful. Still fighting for revolution, of course, but there's been so much turmoil and terrible things happening for so many people, so a break from that would be nice. I hope you have a good start to the new year!

2025 was a stellar year for AnneArchy! Thank you to everyone who supported me and my art! That includes not only people who bought some art but those who shared one of my pieces, told someone about me, or even just thought about me in a supportive way. It all adds up! Some stats in case you're interested:
- my business increased 95% over 2024!
- about 75% of my business is wholesale (me selling to mostly-brick-and-mortar businesses who then stock my goods) - these small businesses, located all over what we currently call north america, are the heart and soul of downtowns and the communities they are part of! I'm so honored to also be part of these communities in this small way.
- sales on my own site increased by 60% this year! This is thanks to individuals like you who shop on my site and you are so important to me! I didn't do much advertising, just a JumboTron on Jordan Jesse Go. I'm just so glad to connect with Tuppies who enjoy this podcast as much as I do. (P.S. Maximum Fun, the network this podcast is part of, is a worker-owned co-op and that is so rad! You should check it out for sure.)
- I also added a new retail option locally - you can now find my pin back buttons (expanding to additional products is likely coming soon) at Art Reach of Mid Michigan in downtown Mount Pleasant. Art Reach is an arts non-profit that does really good work in this community and has a curated collection of art and art goods to buy in their shop. (FYI: my stock at Art Reach will not have overlap with my stock at For Art's Sake, where I'm very glad to continue to offer my wares as well. You can always find the complete roster of everything I have on offer in my shop online, but please support your local brick-and-mortars as well!)
- This is still very much a part-time thing for me but I am really pleased with where 2025 ended up. (I'm in no way ready to give up my very fulfilling day job any time soon!) I'm super grateful that y'all are interested in the things that I make. Thank you again to all of you!

Coraline continues to be the best dog and we love her so much! Whatever-willing, she will see her 15th birthday in a couple weeks. She has had her share of health issues in recent months but has bravely powered through a vestibular episode, a broken-and-then-removed toe nail, intermittent seizures, and various elder dog maladies that are under control thanks to modern medicine (my thanks again to everyone who buys art from me! It helps us pay for the hundreds of dollars in dog drug costs each month) and good veterinary care. We ordered her a new cave bed for her dining room den (crate) but they sent a larger size, which of course she immediately claimed as a general-use bed. She has been digging into the deepest parts of the cave and snoring away like a champ. We're happy she's happy!

Thank you to everyone who left me a positive review in 2025! Those really mean a lot and so many of you shared such generous thoughts about my work, it's really humbling and I appreciate every one of you!

Thinking ahead to this year of our whatever 2026, I have a few thoughts about how I want to approach things.
- I am going to continue to follow my heart and brain when it comes to what I draw. I'm sure that I could pursue more aggressive growth by following trends and making things to fit those trends, but I just do not have it in me to care enough about this to actually do it. I have limited time for drawing and I want to make the things I want to make.
- In terms of wholesale, I am interested in expanding to more shops. I have wholesale customers in 42 states so far, plus DC and Canada! I always appreciate recommendations for shops you think might like to stock my goods - all locations welcome! (But if we want to round out all the states, I'm missing Alaska, Arkansas, Maine, Montana, New Mexico, South Carolina, South Dakota, and West Virginia.)

Thank you again to everyone reading this! I hope your new year holds lots of promise and good things. Please be in touch any time, I'd love to hear from you! :)
